Background: Of 93 surveyed Perth chiropractic practices 50 were in converted residential properties, 2 were an integral part of medical practices, 35 were in professional/commercial buildings and 8 were in purpose built clinics.

About 40 years ago we bought a residence that is conveniently located on a highway about 20 mins from Perth and 10 mins to Fremantle, which is on the west coast of Australia. The parking entry was off a quiet side street.

The previous buildings were cleared to make way for our current purpose built building. The property design won the WA State and the National Building Designers Association award in the category of commercial buildings.
At the outset of planning the clinic, my better half, Ruth defined her goals.
“To create feelings composers use musical notes and painters use colours. I want building materials to create feelings that incorporate openness, light, and a sense of harmonious peace.”
Since its completion I hear people describe the building echoing Ruth’s terms.
